Host a Party
Hosting your pallet party is easy and loads of fun! We offer great incentives for the host, like free pallet boards and accessories. For your guests, we have a wide range of accessories for purchase to give their pallets a little extra flair, as well as special drawings. We're always willing to help with suggestions to make every guest to create a piece they love and have a "one-of-a-kind" experience.
The cost of each standard pallet board is $40, including hanger hardware, unlimited paint, brushes, and stencils. Optional accessories to decorate their board typically range from $3-5 each. Children are also welcome to create a board; boards for children are $15 each with purchase of a standard . Kid boards will not include hanger..
We offer incentives for your guests as well! Encourage friends to bring other friends for additional entries into a drawing for each “plus-one” in attendance.
Host incentives are based on the number of standard boards purchased:
- 2 free stencil designs for hostess
- 7 Boards- $25 credit
- 10 Boards – $45 credit
- 15 Boards – $55 credit
- 20 Boards – $65 credit
- 25+ Boards – $75 credit
- Credit is to be used day of party on hostess' order
You're ready to host a party--now, how to plan it. Determine how many guests you can accommodate in your selected party space. Some hosts choose to host in their home, some use their garage or a community meeting space (keep in mind guests will be using real paint!). We typically recommend a 6 to 8-foot table to accommodate 3 to 4 people. We can supply you with up to four tables if needed, and of course all the creative materials you need! Parties last four hours, not including 45 minutes before and after the party for Sweet on You Pallets to do all the set-up and clean-up work.
To schedule a party, simply create an event on your Facebook page, inviting us, your friends, and your friends’ friends. When deciding on your invitation list, remember the “Law of One Thirds.” This means that typically 1 out of 3 invitees will attend. For example, if you want 20 guests to attend your party, we recommend that you invite about 60 friends. In our experience, there will be 2 to 3 people who are likely to cancel at the last minute. Don't worry, we’re still going to have a great time and a lot of fun!
We encourage you to make your invitation messaging as detailed or simple as you like. For example, you may want to say:
“Hello friends! Come and join me and my friends for an amazing new DIY party out of the comfort of my home. This is such a fun DIY event that anyone can do! These pallets are a perfect addition to any home, and or can make a wonderful gift for someone special. I would love for you to come, and bring a friend!”
